Kangaroo Care & Babywearing Basics is held the 1st Thursday of the month from 6 pm - 7 pm at Mt. Nittany Medical Center Ground Floor Conference Room 1 (this is also where the hospital expectant parents class is held). The address is 1800 E. Park Ave. in State College, PA 16801
Rachel will explain how kangaroo care/skin to skin therapy and babywearing help baby to cry less, learn independent sleep, and build a strong immune system; and how KC & BWing help you feel calmer, happier, and strongly bonded to your baby. She will teach you how to use KC garments and carriers safely and for ultimate comfort for both you and baby. You will learn the pros & cons and how to put on a wide variety of KC garments and baby carriers. At the end of the class, you can try on your favorite style with a newborn size weighted baby doll.
